Sesay had played in several community leagues and was featured in the Division II league. He made his premier league debut in the 2021 season with FC Mount Aureole SLIFA in Freetown, where he scored three goals.
FC Diamond Stars is on record as the first provincial football team to win the Sierra Leone Premier League back to back. (2012/2013) respectively.
Sesay is a skillful and intelligent striker with a team-spirited mentality. His goal-scoring ability is presently unmatched in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League, considering his experience in the league.
Abdul is the fierce force behind one of Sierra Leone's most recognized teams in the league (Sierra Leone premier league), FC Diamond Stars in Kono. So far, he has four (4) goals and numerous assists registered to his name, which has lifted his team (FC Diamond Stars) out of the relegation zone.
One of his teammates stated, "Playing against Abdul is a real deal because stopping him from scoring requires a lot of work. He has the ability to destroy a team defense in two seconds. I mean, chasing him requires more than pace and agility because he has three qualities that I am scared of: shooting power, take-on, and he is damn creative and fierce in the air, and his asissting techniques are hard to see in the league. If not, just pray that it is your lucky day. If not, hmmm. "
Sesay said, "My uncle once told me, if you love soccer, make it a career." I have chosen football as a career, and I will do everything humanly and positively possible to pursue it.
Representing Sierra Leone or playing for any foreign team is a dream he is hoping to achieve. Sesay is an ambitious and focused player, filled with positivity and determination.
He told us how lucky and blessed he is to have a wonderful and supportive family and that he is grateful to his management.
A career in Europe is the dream of many soccer players on the African continent. In Sierra Leone, these young stars are easy prey for fake European sports recruiters.
